Farm Holiday Cottage
The farmhouse at Trefnant Isaf dates from around 1650, and this cottage, in an adjoining and thoughtfully converted stable, provides comfortable four-star holiday accommodation amidst rolling hills to the north-west of Welshpool. A spacious sitting room, with a fine beamed ceiling, tv/video, electric fire and double-glazing adjoins the open plan kitchen, which is well-equipped with an electric cooker, a fridge and microwave oven. Upstairs, where there are more exposed timbers, there is a double bedroom, another with two full width
bunk-beds, and a shower room. There are electric panel heaters throughout. Children and pets are welcome.
The spacious garden has a picnic bench and swings, and offers sweeping views over the farm to the hills beyond. Trefnant Isaf Farm is well-endowed with streams and woodlands, sustaining a rich and varied bird-life. For those who enjoy country sports, there is both coarse and trout fishing, along with rough shooting, on the farm. You can enjoy fine walks on the farm and in the surrounding countryside indeed Glyndwr's Way, now a National Trail, passes within 500 metres of the cottage.
